Company kept me informed of the technicians arrival. Very knowledgeable and friendly.
came out because customer cut his low-voltage wire while trimming around the air conditioner. This is a approximately 30-year-old Lennox air conditioner. I checked low-voltage fuse and it was not blown. I spliced wire back together and coated with electrical tape. Cycled unit.
Found a 2004 Bryant Heat Pump evolution communicating system. Getting a error of no communication with indoor unit at the control. Found no lights on control board inside air handler. Verified 24 V to board which I did have. Saw some insulation from the inside of the air handler that was touching part of the board, when I pushed this insulation away the board instantly lit up. And communication was reestablished. Unit operational at time of departure.
here for a no cool on a 11 year old Goodman air conditioner. Customer advised me that nothing is coming on now but even when it was working it wasn’t working very well. I found no high-voltage to furnace. Found that the breaker in the panel is bad and not supplying voltage to the furnace. Customer had an extra breaker inside the box so I swapped it out and turned it on. Everything powers up and comes on now. I checked refrigerant charge and found it running at a 38° superheat. Added refrigerant at homeowners request to achieve a 14° superheat. We cannot guarantee how long system will continue to run considering there’s likely a refrigerant leak. But system is running OK at this time
